Election Information
According to the Rhode Island Secretary of State's Office, only 50% of registered voters turnout on election day. Citizens of NK have the opportunity to vote for leaders to represent them and their ideas and who will support their interests. At times, politics can seem frustrating or confusing, and it may seem like your vote doesn't matter, but it does- especially in local elections.
In Rhode Island, you must be registered to vote 30 days before an election to participate.To register (or pre-register) to vote, you must be:

A citizen of the United States

A resident of the Rhode Island city or town where you wish to vote

At least 16 years of age (but you must be at least 18 years of age to vote.)
You can return your absentee ballot request form through the mail or in person. Voted ballots must be received by 8pm on Election Day in order to be counted.
To ensure you are heading to the right location (if you are voting in person), make sure you check your polling place. Also, check in with others to ensure they have transportation to the polls.
